We have a range of undergraduate programs for students in all faculties interested in learning more about the field of education. Opportunities range from selecting a single course elective to completing one of our many Education minors.
Students who wish to become teachers must prepare their undergraduate coursework accordingly by selecting the appropriate majors and minors and then applying to the Professional Development Program (PDP). Normally the PDP year is either a fifth year of a B.Ed. degree or part of a second degree course sequence.

A unique initiative administered by the Faculty of Education through Undergraduate Programs is the Foundations of Academic Literacy (FAL) program. FAL was designed with the aim of enhancing the confidence and ability of SFU's students to have a successful post-secondary experience through the development of written and oral literacy skills.
