  • Language practices and language ideology in the globalized political economy
  • Language use and identity construction in multilingual settings, particularly in multilingual schools, churches and workplaces among other social institutions
  • Linguistic and socioeconomic issues emerged in south-south migration, particularly individual migration between China and Africa
  • The intersection of language, race, class, gender, religion and nationa-states in globalization, including the global spread of evangelical Christianity
