Telementoring Orchestrator is a server-side web application, designed to aid any sort of organization (a corporation, university, school or nonprofit society) in efficiently organizing and monitoring on-line mentoring relationships. Because Telementoring Orchestrator works on the web, mentors and mentees do not need to be in the same location. Wherever expertise is and wherever it is needed, Telementoring Orchestrator can work with you to maximize its potential. Meanwhile, the system reduces administrative overhead so that organizations can afford to provide the oversight necessary to make their programs effective.

Telementoring Orchestrator provides facilities to manage:

Web-based recruiting to your mentor pool
Flexible searching of your mentor pool by any number of mentoring       coordinators in any location
Batch e-mailing of invitations to prospective mentors
Automatic tracking of the status of each invitation (accepted, rejected, or       pending)
“Check-out” of assigned mentors to avoid mentor overload and burnout
Anonymous forwarding and logging of mentor-mentee e-mail through an       integrated e-mail router

Telementoring Orchestrator has the flexibility to support a wide array of programs and initiatives. The look of the interface is easily “branded” by your own institution. The system also contains an easily-editable “expertise hierarchy” for describing and searching mentors’ qualifications.

In addition to supporting private correspondence between mentors and mentees by e-mail,
Telementoring Orchestrator can also support mentoring in a shared discourse environment called Knowledge Forum. This allows any number of participants to benefit from the knowledge developed by mentors and mentees in a match.
