Field Programs celebrated SFU's relationships with school districts in BC at a 40th Anniversary "Celebration of our Collaboration in Teachers' Professional Development" on April 28 at the Diamond Alumni Centre. Commemorative plaques were presented to representatives from the school districts of Burnaby, Coquitlam, Vancouver, Surrey, Delta, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Richmond, North Vancouver, Mission and Fraser Cascade. Special guests included Dr. Milt McClaren, inaugural Director of "Field Relations and Teacher Inservice Education" (FRTISE--an earlier name of "Field Programs"), Peter Norman, past Director of the Project Office, and Pat Holborn, who was central to the development of the program area and SFU's relationships with school districts over the years.
