Studying Local Creeks and Streams   This information is designed to help a class of students or a school-based environmental club get started on the study of a local creek or stream. It is drawn from a number of sources including The StreamKeepers Handbook, in the Stewardship Series distributed by the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks of B.C., and the Water Stewardship: A Guide for Teachers, Students, and Community Groups, also in the Stewardship Series. Teachers are urged to consult these sources when planning a stream study in their area.

At present, Networking BC Rivers is focused on schools and students in the watersheds of the Fraser, Peace, Columbia, and Skeena rivers. However, it is hoped to extend this project and we invite teachers in other areas of BC to use this web site and to make contact with the project.

How to Register   Teachers interested in becoming involved in Networking B.C.'s Rivers are invited to contact us. If your browser sees forms, please complete our on-line form and we will contact you.
