Networking BC Rivers is comprised of several elements. They include:

» Channels of Inquiry - a guide to studying rivers and watersheds. Channels of Inquiry is organized around 3 key ideas and seven themes for investigation.

» use of this web site to share the results of water quality studies, facilitate communications among schools involved in the project and to provide online versions of the material contained within the Channels of Inquiry guide.

» audio conferences among teachers at participating schools.

» kits which will assist students and teachers in gathering data about water quality in local rivers and streams. In 1996, with the support of the Habitat Conservation Fund, more than 30 schools in the network received these kits.
