Dr. Marianne Jacquet
My scholarship focuses on the social and cultural dimensions of human development and psychological agency. I am concerned with elaborating conceptions of selfhood and personhood in educational psychology, as related to bicultural experience and acculturation. My current interest centers on the role of situated agency in the developmental and therapeutic process. My scholarship in psychological development and change is informed by my dual training in clinical psychology and philosophy and includes considerations from phenomenology, hermeneutics, postmodernism, and contemporary psychoanalysis.
